Roast Beef and Japanese flavor Gravy Sauce
材料
Beef top-round 300 g
salt 1tsp
oil 1tsp
mirin 100ml
Soy sauce 1tbsp
Mentsuyu 1tbsp
Onion, grated 1tbsp
作り方
(1)Pat dry the meat with a paper towel and sprinkle salt on the meat left at room temperature before cooking it.
(2)Heat 1tsp vegetable oil over a medium-high heat in a saute pan.
Then, add the meat to the pan and sear all sides.
(3)Add mirin, soy sauce and mentsuyu to pan.
When it comes to a boil, turn the heat to low and cover. And then simmer for 6 minutes flipping halfway through.
(4)Transfer and wrap the meat in baking sheet and aluminum foil. And wrap it again with a kitchen towel(tea towel).
Let it cool down(for 2 hours) .
(5)Reserve the pan juices and drippings in the saute pan to make the gravy.
Add grated onion into sauce and simmer over medium heat. Stir with a spatula until it naturally thickens.

The sauce will thicken once it is cooling down.
Wasabi goes well with sweet gravy sauce.
